Independent developer Jan Brychta has released update 1.02 for the 2D action role-playing game Power and Glory. The official Steam announcement, posted on September 14, 2026, at 08:08 (TRT), presents a comprehensive package that expands the game’s dungeon content while also addressing the learning process, enemy behavior and technical performance.
Power and Glory is a single-player title that lets players begin their adventure with a Worker, Farmer or Priest background and combines dungeon exploration, loot collection, skill development and choice-based progression. Version 1.02 focuses on strengthening this core structure, particularly in terms of replayability and accessibility.
The update’s highlight is 24 new unique dungeons. According to the developer, there is a separate dungeon for every faction in the game at each level from 2 to 9. These areas have their own stories, choices tied to skills and rank, and multiple outcomes. As a result, the dungeons offer more than new battlefields; they also connect with character development and the player’s decisions.
The new dungeons are accompanied by 14 different equipment types. Custom artwork has also been prepared for all 24 new story bosses. Because the official notes do not disclose equipment stats or drop rates, it is not yet possible to determine which character builds these rewards will favor. Still, the new loot pool gives players who want to experiment with different skill and item combinations additional goals.
Version 1.02 also adds an interactive tutorial section to the game. Players can learn combat, exploration, equipment use and the save system in a safe environment. They can skip lessons or replay them later. Especially for those still getting used to the game’s systems, this option may provide a useful starting point that separates trial and error from the main progression.
The developer says enemy pathfinding around obstacles, movement through crowded doorways and positioning during ranged attacks have been improved. These changes aim to reduce situations where enemies get caught on one another in tight spaces or ranged units remain in ineffective positions. However, because the announcement provides no numerical comparison of AI behavior, the impact of the change will become clearer during gameplay.
Defeated enemies left on the ground now slow movement instead of completely blocking passage. This adjustment may preserve the traces of combat as a mechanical element while preventing players from becoming completely trapped in narrow corridors. Unique dungeons have also been brought in line with the scale of standard dungeons, while larger maps will use screen-scrolling support. This is intended to deliver a more consistent visual presentation across different dungeon types.

Power and Glory was released on Steam on June 19, 2026. Its official store page lists it as a single-player title requiring Windows 10 or later; the interface and full audio support are in English. Update 1.02 is available to existing players through Steam.
On the technical side, the developer says processing load and graphics memory usage have been reduced. The announcement does not share performance figures for any hardware, so it would not be accurate to give a definite rate of change in frame rate or memory consumption. Players will need to observe the results on their own systems after the update.
Rather than focusing on a single minor fix, Power and Glory 1.02 addresses content, onboarding, enemy behavior and performance in the same package. The 24 new dungeons and their associated rewards are the update’s main attraction, while the interactive tutorial and movement improvements aim to make the experience smoother for both new and existing players.
